Q Does Long Term Care Insurance cover Assisted Living?
  Even if your policy states it will ONLY cover a nursing home, this is no longer the case. If you meet the requirements of your policy, it may cover certified assisted livings’.
   
Q What is Assisted Living?
  Assisted Living provides a combination of housing, supportive services, and personal health care designed to respond to the needs of individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living in a way that promotes independence.
   
Q What are Activities of Daily Living?
  Daily activities that an individual needs in order to care for themselves such as taking medications, bathing, dressing, transferring and ambulating.
   
Q Are the apartments purchased or leased?
  The Gardens does not require a large “buy-in” fee. The apartments are leased on a month to month basis.
   
Q Are the apartments furnished or unfurnished?
  The apartments are unfurnished. Residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings from home to furnish and decorate the apartment. We want you to feel comfortable in your new home.
   
Q What is Respite Care?
  Respite Care is available for individuals needing personal care for a short period of time. For example; when an individual is discharged from the hospital they may require some additional assistance until they are strong enough to return home.
